AKA: Lily of the Nile, African Lily . Recently I came across some of these in my yard. Was wondering if they would be safe to put them in a Koi pond, the same same way we would a Louisiana Iris. Am asking if there may be any toxicity from the plant to the Koi.

Hope all my buds on the East Coast are surviving the snow storm and Tom and others are surviving the mud in California!

There's a toxic plant list around here in the archives somewhere.....I believe posted by KDSD some time back. Hope that helps.

I think it might also be in Pond Pulse.

My mistake it wasn't in Pond Pulse, it was on http://www.pondcleanout.com under the related links button. Title: Toxic Plants.

Thanks guys! It was not on the list... but I notice that Cana Lillies' leaves were. I mention this because I read in so many areas where they are a good choice for a marginal plant.
