I am not starting this by bragging on any pump...I am asking what magdrive and submersible pumps and pumps that may be external but can stand being underwater on occasion....
Which ones have stood up well for YOU under these conditions? Max

Well Max, first of all, SUBMERSIBLE pumps are just that submersible, they do not take kindly to being out of water.

External drive pumps are known to be able to take a little moisture but you must dry them out before you plug them back in. They are more forgiving than any pump I know of.

Some mag drives work in or out of water. You just have to know which pumps can or can't.

Not sure there is any pump that stands out in that catagory.

Mike, Dave, Steve or Mark your thoughts.

The Danner Pondmaster line works well in these conditions. It does have to have a flooded suction as an external but will well as one.
